What Others Say

"Burr and Muir operates to a world class standard within the antiques trade. Their treasures not only stand out as objects of extraordinary beauty, but their rarity too ensures that each piece can be recognised anywhere as a sound financial investment. A visit to Geoff Burr and Graham Muir’s high-design contemporary showroom in Cape Town demonstrates how items made in the past – cutting-edge in their time – integrate seamlessly in a modern context, and becomes a tour through the history of design evolution. Burr and Muir, who are longstanding members of SAADA (South African Art Antiques and Design Asso.) set a premium example in the antiques trade, and it is for this reason that they stand at the pinnacle of our hand-picked SAADA collection of dealers. Geoff was for many years association’s chairman."

What Others Say

“When in Africa, after seeing the big five beasts in the wilderness, treat your five senses with a visit to the Burr and Muir Gallery in Cape Town; you will be pleasantly surprised. To find such choice and such quality in the fields of Art Deco and Art Nouveau in such an unexpected location is to go on overdrive.Whenever I am in Cape Town a visit to Geoff Burr and Graham Muir is de rigeur. The welcome is heartfelt. The items on display and for sale are unique; rarely have I walked out empty handed from their gallery.Furthermore they have both been instrumental in helping me create my books on Chiparus, Preiss, Roland Paris and Statuettes: figures they own do appear in my books.I look forward to many more encounters with the big five in the tundras and the big two in Cape Town.”
